Participation in registered Suzuki Teacher Training requires current membership and a successful audition with the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA). Please click here for audition information.
Participants are responsible for meeting the SAA audition requirements. Failure to do so does not exempt participants from our Cancellation and Refund policy.
Attendance at all sessions is mandatory to be eligible for course registration with the SAA. All sessions are conducted online.

Class size:
- ECC® online has a maximum enrollment of 15 participants
- Practicum has a maximum enrollment of 5 participants
- Books 1 - 9 & 10 online courses have a maximum enrollment of 10 participants

Course Assignments:
- Video Performance: You are required to submit a video of yourself performing the entire volume you are currently studying. Memorization and accompaniment are encouraged but not required. This video should be submitted by the week preceding the final class.
- Teaching Videos: Prepare and submit two teaching videos, ideally at the same level as the book you are currently studying. These may be either in person or online lessons, and can be in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. They should be submitted by the week preceding the final class.
- Five-Minute Presentation: Create a five-minute presentation based on an article selected by the instructor from either the American Suzuki Journal or the Talent Education Journal. This presentation is due on the last class.
- In-Class Performance and Explanation: During the final class, you will perform the entire volume being studied. Additionally, you will explain and demonstrate the teaching points for the pieces performed. This assignment will be completed during the final class.
- Lesson Observations: Complete the SAA required lesson observations. Due by the week preceding the final class. Observations for all courses will be conducted online, with the available option for in-person observations.

Payment is due at the time of registration. Your participation will be confirmed once payment is received and registration is successfully processed.

Scholarships:
Participants may apply for a scholarship from the Suzuki Association of the Americas by clicking here. Please take note of the submission deadlines.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
- 100% refund if requested four weeks prior to the first day of class
- 50% refund if requested less than four weeks, up to one week prior to the first day of class
- No refunds if requested one week prior to the first day of class
- Full refunds will be issued at anytime if I cancel a course
